Joshua D. Saegert

ATTORNEY AT LAW
Josh is a third generation Austinite who has been practicing law in Austin and throughout Central Texas for over 15 years. Josh attended the University of Nebraska on a gymnastics scholarship and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He helped the Huskers win the 1990 NCAA Men’s National Championship, and twice was named an NCAA All American. He was also selected as team Captain for both his Junior and Senior Years.
 
Following in the footsteps of his father, Josh decided to pursue a career in law and attended the University of Houston Law Center earning his J.D. in 1997. It wasn’t long into his studies before he knew that Criminal Defense was his passion.
 
Josh has worked under several national and state leaders including United States Congressman Lloyd DoggettPresiding Judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Michael J. McCormickTexas State Representative Harvey Hilderbran and Nebraska Secretary of State Alan Beermann. After several years of working with his friend Joe Turner, Josh decided to start his own private law practice focusing on State and Federal Criminal Defense throughout Texas.
 
The Law Office of Joshua D. Saegert has a large scope of practice handling all criminal matters no matter how big or small, concentrating primarily on assisting individuals throughout the state of Texas with DWI, Drug, Assault and License Issues, as well as Federal Firearm, Fraud, Financial, White Collar and Internet Crimes. The Law Office of Joshua D. Saegert also collaborates frequently with several Central Texas civil law firms whose clients have criminal problems or issues.
 
Voted a Super Lawyers Rising Star by Thomson Reuters as printed in Texas Monthly in 2005 and 2010, Josh is also a member of the Austin Bar Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He has participated in several community service projects including: the Street Law Project where he speaks to students at Crockett High School twice a year about the criminal justice system and the long-term effect of getting arrested. He has also helped with the Women’s Resource Fair answering legal questions of low income and homeless women.
 
Josh is an active member in his church and a member of the Board of Elders for Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austin. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors- hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife and two sons.

Olivia Lambert

LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR
Olivia has been working with the Law Office of Joshua D. Saegert since 2007. She is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the firm and helps clients with after hour jail releases, jail visits, walk throughs, warrant recalls, Occupational Driver’s Licenses and many other functions to keep the cases moving. She brings a diverse background to the firm- this allows her to connect, get answers and work with all types of personalities in assisting and serving clients. Her people oriented approach to problems enables her to obtain favorable results in helping clients find their way through the complicated maze of the Department of Public Safety and driver’s license procedures.
 
She started in the legal field in 2003 in Taos, New Mexico working with an attorney in Wills, Estate, Trusts and Real Estate law. Once she moved back home to Austin she got into Civil Litigation before finding a home in the Criminal Defense field. She has over 528 hours of paralegal studies logged.
 
A Native Texan originally from Dallas, she has called Austin home since 1993. Olivia attended the University of Arkansas, when not cheering for the Razorbacks she fully supports the Texas Longhorns. She is the very proud mother of grown twin girls, a committed volunteer at The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas
